CMSgt W. Allen Usry, USAF, Ret.
Chief Master Sergeant (ret) W. Allen Usry retired as the Command Senior Enlisted Leader for North American Aerospace Defense Command and United States Northern Command, Peterson Air Force Base, CO. He served as the principal advisor to the commander on all enlisted matters. His responsibilities included providing the enlisted perspective on strategic vision, goals and objectives, theater security cooperation, and enlisted professional development. He mentored senior enlisted leaders throughout the headquarters, component commands and Joint Task Forces. He also served as a senior mentor for the Keystone joint enlisted leader fellowship, the highest level of enlisted education in DoD.
Usry enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps in 1982, serving as an embarkation specialist and platoon sergeant before leaving the Marines in July 1988. He enlisted in the Oklahoma Air National Guard in August 1988 where he served as a fire protection specialist until 1994. Since that time he has served in a variety of positions including serving as an instructor and course director at the U.S. Air Force First Sergeant Academy; Command Chief Master Sergeant for the Continental U.S. NORAD Region – First Air Force (Air Force Northern), and finally as Command Chief Master Sergeant, NORAD/USNORTHCOM.
Usry currently serves as Executive Consultant/National Military Relations Manager for W.A. Usry Consulting, L.L.C. for Pioneer Services, Division of MidCountry Bank.
