About the Garden of Hope
The Garden of Hope is a place for quiet reflection and is nestled between our Dolores Hope All Faiths Chapel and the Bob Gates Welcome Center. It is home to the Christmas Box statue, also known as the Angel of Hope. The statue is dedicated to Father Howard J. Lesch, C.P.P.S., who was the pastor at Dolores Hope All Faiths Chapel from October 1991 to June 2002. Chris and Rob Cohen, friends of Father Lesch, generously provided the funding for this statue.
A candlelight vigil is held every December 6th in the Garden of Hope to remember residents and loved ones who have passed on during the year.

The Christmas Box statue was introduced in the New York Times best seller The Christmas Box by Richard Paul Evans. The Christmas Box is the poignant tale of a widow and the young family who moves in with her. Together, they discover what the meaning of Christmas.
