Residents of Bob Hope Village are participating in Retired United and volunteering through the United Way of the Emerald Coast’s Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP). They recently packed 140 school supply kits for local students.
Each kit was filled with pencils, glue sticks, flashcards, and more. While the kits will help kids feel confident and ready to learn this fall, the volunteer activity provided a caring activity full of purpose.
RSVP is a free federal initiative funded by AmeriCorps Seniors that matches volunteers aged 55 and above with meaningful opportunities at local nonprofits.
