The fairways were full, the competition was fierce, and the generosity was overflowing at the 23rd Annual Bob Hope Memorial Charity Golf Classic presented by USAA. Held May 15-16 at the Fort Walton Beach Golf Club, the two-day tournament raised more than $105,000 to support the mission of the Air Force Enlisted Village (AFEV), which provides a safe, secure home for surviving spouses of retired enlisted Air Force members.
A total of 144 golfers hit the Pines Course on Day 1, battling it out for top scores before teams were flighted for Day 2 competition. The event wrapped up with an awards luncheon celebrating tournament champions, contest winners, and the incredible community support behind the event.
Adding to the excitement were several distinguished military guests, including CMSAF #22 David Wolfe, CMSAF #14 Gerald Murray, CMSAF #15 Rodney McKinley, and CMSgt Paul Norris representing the U.S. Space Force.
Winning teams in each flight took home embroidered shoebags, Worldwide Golf gift cards, and rounds of golf from courses across the Emerald Coast.
