Offering the same spirit of the military community, Air Force Enlisted Village (AFEV) feels like coming home for many residents.
At Bob Hope Village, residents like Susan have found more than just a place to live—they’ve found a sense of purpose, belonging, and peace. For Susan, living here has made all the difference in her golden years.
“Living at Bob Hope Village has allowed me to age gracefully and with dignity,” she shares. “It really is a blessing to be here. We all have so much in common. It’s like living at base housing again.”
Susan, who was married to her beloved David for 54 years, knows the comfort that community can bring during life’s transitions. “I’m sure I’d be lonesome if I weren’t here. This really was God-ordained.”
Like many residents, Susan is deeply grateful for the generosity that makes life at Bob Hope Village possible. “There are so many here who wouldn’t financially be able to get by if not for the Air Force Enlisted Village,” she says. “It’s so special for all of us who live in this wonderful community.”
At Hawthorn House, the AFEV’s assisted living residence, the same spirit of gratitude shines through. Bobbi, a resident there, is overwhelmed by the compassionate care she receives—care made possible by supporters like YOU.
“I can’t tell you how blessed I am to be here,” Bobbi says with a smile. “It’s absolutely great. I thank the good Lord for where I am. If I could rate it above ten, it would certainly deserve it!”
Thanks to YOUR kindness and commitment, Air Force Enlisted Village provides a loving, dignified home for surviving Air Force spouses.
